Transparency and Accountability
In order to secure the ongoing trust of the community, openness is necessary between the District Attorney’s Office and the people it serves. Transparency and accountability built on open, persistent dialogue – listening and sharing – are paramount.
I established a Community Engagement Officer, maintain dialogue with media outlets across the Cape and Islands, respond to individual citizens seeking information, track data, and produce an Annual Report to keep everyone in our communities apprised of our work and impact.

As District Attorney, one of my first orders of business was to hire a Human Resources Manager position, a position that had been vacant for roughly 2 years prior to my administration. I tasked my Human Resources Manager with creating and implementing a performance evaluation and management system for all employees.
